Project-based learning and Inquiry -based Learning
"Tell me and I forget, show me and I remember, involve me and I understand."(Thirteen ed online,2004). Throughout history educational learning approaches have evolved with modern technology, and our ever changing view on how learning actually takes place. We as a society have perplexed views on how learning actually takes place, but we should all agree that the learning process is exceptionally consequential to a child's future success. That first sentence tells it all. Project -based and inquiry based learning are important tools and ideas that we as teachers in the 21st century need to incorporate. You can find my paper and ideas on project based and inquiry based learning . Another interesting website states, " Imagine a classroom environment where you as the teacher facilitate learning and students take more responsibility (real, not token, responsibility) for research and project based learning in which students take the wheel—and inquiry is the vehicle they drive. " I think with my essential question: How does physical activity and health affect our lives, students would be able to do vast research and take responsibility in active learning to find the solutions. Inquiry based learning is our own spontaneous virtue that we as individual experience in our enviroment. Project based learning is technology, presentations, and a great learning strategy that the student find interest in. Using a blog students could find lost of videos, presentation and information. The would be abe to experience the activity or lesson with great excitement.

Hi Ms. Mary.I love your first sentence. Its definently true that invovlement in the classoom is the key for a child to take in their own individual knowledge.Your essential question about physical activity is really good. Physical activity is crucial for students to be aware of.Type two diabetes and obesity are a running epidemic and need to be talked about. That is a great topic that can really open up a childs mind. You could definently create class discussions, and even class projects. Great Job!
