Voice Thread- Storytelling

Now this is a concept that I think I would love to use in my class. This is a great tool to involve students, other classes but what impressed me the most was the idea that parents would be able to log on and see their child's work. I think that is a great way to get a parent involved. Especially with the age group that I am interested in teaching..between kinder and 2nd grade I think this is really going to motivate both student and the parent. I'm motivated to learn more about Voice thread, with other week of practice, trail and error I could really be ready to use this in my class.

Digital Storytelling could really help students want to get invovled with the lesson. According to so many websites I visited there are many great reason to want to use digital storytelling. I can see myself using digital storytelling with my unit questions. For example one of my questions; How can I stay Healthy? This would be perfect opportunity to use digital story telling. I can use some websites that showed children doing exercise, eating healthy and brushing teeth. Another way would be for student to just make a video themselves depicting a healthy and not so healthy day. Here is my first experience with Voice thread and the lesson plan that would be used.

Hi Ms. Mary. I think you had some great ideas about incorporating your unit plan into digital story telling. That would be a great project for you to use in your classroom. I liked how you said that it is a great way for parents to get involved. Parents would love to use this tool to see their childs work in the new innovative way. I know I would love to see my child do something like that.

I love what you did with your voice thread. You were really creative when you chose to use children as your narrators. You followed your Teks very well. I liked how the students were able to circle the healthy choices. Great Job!
